The NuRAD 5710 R Mats

Introduction
The NuRAD 5710 R * Mats are made of a radiation shield product that is protected by a PVC coating. The shielding material is either an elastomer (type S Mat) or a rigid plate (type R Mat).

* Also named "Matelas radiologique"

Product Data
- Personnel protection mat for high-radiation areas
- Shielding factor for gamma radiation, X- rays and neutrons is equivalent to that of concrete
- Uniform radiation shielding throughout the surface of the mat is due to the homogeneity of the radiation shield elastomer.
- Variable density is adapted to individual requirements
- Can be made available in any geometric shape required
- Can be washed and decontaminated
- Waterproof
- Resists spraying

Operational Information
- Minimal handling burden: Easy grip with no stiff points. The flexibility of the mats allow for an adaptation to any type of backing and they maintain their initial shape despite having been handled
- The Type-R Mat is designed to be put into use in a corner or a place which is too difficult to access or too cluttered to allow for a Type-S suspended mat
- The Type-S Mat is designed to protect a full set of equipment
For example, Nuclear sampling system (REN)
- Clip-on hooks are fastened to the grommets with a square key. The mats are then suspended to a bar provided expressly for the purpose

Other Technical Information (Packaging, Storage)
- The mats are placed on a palette and then film-wrapped
- Storage temperature: 5°C to 50°C (40°F to 120°F)
- Product shelf life: Unlimited

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Shielding factor for gamma radiation, X-rays and neutrons is equivalent to that of concrete

System Options
- Colours available depending on the geographical area:
RAL 1021 yellow/orange
RAL 5002 blue
RAL 6026 green
