NuPLUG 2130 R Foam

Information
The NuPLUG 2130 R* Foam is a flexible product used as a radiation barrier and as a fire break for electrical and mechanical penetration assembly caulking, as well as sheaths cast in both concrete slabs and walls.

* Also named 935.BW

Product Data

- Bi-component silicone foam
- Shielding factor for gamma radiation, X-rays and neutrons equivalent to that of concrete
- A flexible product that enables the insertion of extra penetration modules in penetration assemblies which have already been caulked once before
- Acts as a fire break for up to two hours (EI 120) (Tested according to the 2004 French decree and the EN 1366–3 standard)
- Product used for caulking penetration assemblies with a 60% saturation level
- The product can be given sealant and decontaminable properties by coating it with a paired MECATISS product such as NuCOAT 7110 I Fabric (SILCO) or NuCOAT 3110 I Elastomer (TSR 750)

Operational Information
- Minimum usage thickness: 150 mm
- To be used on clean, dry and degreased surfaces
- Three implementation possibilities:
o Pneumatic pump (for large volumes)
o Manual or pneumatic caulking gun (for filling small volumes)
o Manually, through the use of gravity (for easily accessed volumes)

- Setting time: < 15 min
- Complete cross-linking: Twenty-four hours
- End product density (polymerised): 2.4 to 2.6

Other Technical Information (Packaging, Storage)
- Four container kit:
o NuPLUG 2130 R (A): Coated metal bucket
o NuPLUG 2130 R (A reagent): Plastic bucket
o NuPLUG 2130 R (B): Coated metal bucket
o NuPLUG 2130 R (B reagent): Plastic bucket

- Storage temperature: 5°C to 50°C (40°F to 120°F)
- Shelf life of the kit is one year from the production date, renewable for 2 x 6 months, in their original, hermetically-sealed containers

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Shielding factor for gamma radiation, X-rays and neutrons equivalent to that of concrete
EI 120 (Two-hour fire break) for a thickness of 150 mm
- Pressure resistant up to 0.3 bar when coated with a paired MECATISS product such as NuCOAT 7110 I Fabric (SILCO) or NuCOAT 3110 I Elastomer (TSR 750).
- PMUC No. ("Produits et Matériaux Utilisables en Centrale"—An accreditation by Eléctricité de France (EDF) for use in nuclear power stations): 24040
